FOSS4G 2007 Coming to Victoria

The annual Free & Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) will be hosted in Victoria this year, September 24-27. Refractions Research will be a Gold Sponsor of the event, which brings together developers and users from around the world to share experiences and development plans for open source geospatial software.

"FOSS4G has only been around for a few years, but it has a huge impact on the development of public geospatial tools", said Paul Ramsey, who will Chair this years conference. "The chance to talk with their peers and users really energizes developers for the rest of the year."

This year's conference will be held at the Victoria Conference Centre, in downtown, with evening events at the Sticky Wicket and the Royal BC Museum
