Refractions Receives GSA Schedule

GSA The US General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded Refractions Research a Schedule 70 contract [#GS-35F-0176U] to provide general purpose commercial IT services.

Refractions looks forward to working with US clients under this contract instrument and other GSA-based standing orders.

GEOS 3.0.0 Released

Refractions Research is pleased to announce the release of the 3.0.0 version of the Geometry Engine, Open Source (GEOS). The GEOS library is used in numerous software packages, including AutoDesk's MapGuide Enterprise, Safe Software's FME, and the PostGIS spatial database.

With the 3.0.0 release, GEOS is moving into incubation with the Open Source Geospatial Foundation, to become an official project of the foundation. Refractions will continue to take a lead role in the development and maintenance of GEOS, but will work as part of a formal “Project Steering Committee” that sets the direction and priorities of the project.

Refractions @ FOSS4G 2007

Refractions is a Gold Sponsor of the Free & Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) conference being held in Victoria, September 24-27.

Refractions staff are serving as conference volunteers, teaching a workshop, giving seven presentations [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7], and teaching two labs [1, 2]. Come visit the Refractions booth in the exhibition hall.
