SMART 3 Release

Refractions Research, along with our partners in the SMART Partnership, comprised of CITES-MIKE, FZS, NCZ, Panthera, WCS, WWF, and ZSL, have developed version 3 of the SMART Conservation Software package. The SMART software is one component of the collective SMART approach, which combines software, training materials and implementation standards providing protected area authorities and community groups with the ability to empower staff, boost motivation, increase efficiency, and promote credible and transparent monitoring of the effectiveness of anti-poaching efforts. Wildlife conservation software has been a main focus of Refractions Research for the past three years. The software suite continues to be expanded as development of new modules is underway.
